At the Movies

After the movie, I treated dad to another first, dinner at Red Robin. Good food, good conversation. I often sit back and contemplate how much I actually inherited and picked up from my dad, as much as I wanted to deny it in the past.

Another Genesis

We’ve seen each other from a distance all these years; and, we filtered our relationship through mom, getting bits and pieces of each other through her interpretation of us. Think about it, dad. Do you know my goals? Did you know my goals when I was in high school? What are my talents? Which of those do I enjoy the most? So, this letter is to say what? Simply that we need to get to know each other better. Since I’m the one viewing that as the issue, I’ll gladly start things off in my next letter, God willing.

Rumble in the ‘Ville

I wish I could say that I laugh when I think of how I was crying and telling God that I didn't want to have anything to do with that man (my dad). "You're my Father now," I told God. "You have been for the past 9 years. I don't need that dude." And so things went.
