Praise the LORD, Everybody

Psalm 66(New King James Version)

Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!

Sing out the honor of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God,
“How awesome are Your works!
Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
All the earth shall worship You
And sing praises to You;
They shall sing praises to Your name.”  Selah

Come and see the works of God;
He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
He turned the sea into dry land;
They went through the river on foot.
There we will rejoice in Him.
He rules by His power forever;
His eyes observe the nations;

Praise is all I’ve been thinking about the past few days and more of it is regarding what God is doing for those around me.  He doesn’t fail to hook me up, yet I look at His wonderful works around me and the answered prayers and I just scream, “Yes, LORD!”

The biggest yell came yesterday when my little brother told me God not only got him transferred to a new University without missing an hour of classes, but He also paid for the tuition and gave him $5,000 more than he needed so that he can pay down some of the bill from the previous school.  I will probably have to go in more detail on that in another post.  It’s just amazing though!

I went to the Wailing Wall for my friend Dawn back when Tailor Made first started.  She reported the other day that she has more work than she can keep up with now.  I sat looking at her dumbfounded.  Not that I was shocked that God answered the prayer, but shocked that He answered the prayer.

We shouldn’t have to always refer to men and women of the Bible as examples of God working on someone’s behalf.  It’s 2010 and there are enough Christians in the world that should be having an experiential relationship with God and sharing their testimonies so that someone can say, “Alright, LORD, You hooked up my boy Reid, so I believe You can do it for me.”
