yesterday’s and today’s weather patterns are the kind of winter weather I like! cool enough for a sweater, warm enough to go without a coat, scarf and headgear optional.

Good morning!

MARK 16 is the end of the book. Remember, I started reading it because I needed thoughts of Jesus to compete with the barrage of fantasy-based thoughts of various degrees of relationship with… *clears throat*

We’ll leave that alone. I do have some things to catch you up on. I’ve been journaling by hand… *gasps* I know! it was out of necessity since the internet was down. forgot to pay the bill. it’s on automatic draft now. had to go there. Anyway, I am going to try to fill you in during the coming days/weeks. You need to be up to par before we ring in the new year.

It’s not until now, at 33, embarking on the 34^th birthday that I’m realizing that faith has a lot more do to with my personal life, the being encased in this dying flesh.

All I can see is this dilapidated, worn-down, filthy-minded, foul-mouthed, same-sex-attracted, disease-ridden, prideful man and I hope for the man that I can’t see; the one that God sees and knows is there through His power.

So, with that, I know we can’t give up. We can’t lose faith.

EPHESIANS 3:16-21 is what I read this morning to start the day off. Here, read it quickly:

that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Our faith must not fail!

And according to LUKE, we have a righteous man praying for us, and you know His prayers avail much.

And the Lord said, “ (your name) , (your name) ! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

I’m learning why faith is so important. Yeah, I know. You would think after 11 years I would have long understood faith’s importance. I guess because I always had it attached to God’s power for material things: a better car, bigger living quarters, finances for this trip or that project, finding my keys, claiming the “better” job, that it’s not until now, at 33, embarking on the 34^th birthday that I’m realizing that faith has a lot more do to with my personal life; the being encased in this dying flesh.

GALATIANS 5:16-25

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

If God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness; if the weakness of God is stronger than men; if the weakest sinner is made strong when in prayer, then today should be a breeze! God will keep us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on Him. Your plate may be full of activities today but you can walk in the glow of heaven and smell the blissful fragrance of our Lord by keeping your thoughts to Him, on Him. Think on these things, Love.
